WEB DESIGN

I have been a "busy boy" with web design this last year - too busy! I have enjoyed all of the projects that I undertook and I learnt a lot but I will be taking a break from this facet of brainthrill until after Christmas for a time of learning new skills, software and techniques as well as working on the music. I will continue of course to provide support to the sites I have created.

Some of the new software I will be working with include:

i) Dreamweaver CS3 - I am finally making the switch from GO-LIVE - I don't want to though...I love GO-LIVE and they even have a new version 9...but I must go with the Industry standard which is integrated into the newest creative suite. I have started using it...and I miss my GO-LIVE...I hope that I begin to like Dreamweaver a lot more than my first impressions!

ii) Flash CS3 - I'm sick of knowing this program on only a "cursory" level...it's time to dig deep!

iii) Visual Web Studio 2005 - ASP.NET 2.0 - I love this program. I want to learn how to integrate databases into the web at a deeper level of understanding than I have!

These items will be my main focus...once I start again, I know that the time I have invested will be more than worth it. It is really sad seeing some of the other web design companies in the valley still designing sites using antiquated techniques and software...the web is a dynamic changing phenomena where those who are flexible and able to adapt will be the survivors.
